The Northern Circuit is Kilimanjaro’s newest and longest route, circling around the mountain’s remote northern side before joining the summit push. Its length gives the best acclimatization profile of any route and correspondingly the highest published summit success rates.
Day 1: Londorossi Gate – Lemosho Glades / Mti Mkubwa Camp. Day 2: Mti Mkubwa – Shira 1 Camp. Day 3: Shira 1 – Moir Hut. Day 4: Moir Hut – Buffalo Camp (Northern Circuit). Day 5: Buffalo Camp – Third Cave Camp. Day 6: Third Cave – School Hut. Day 7: School Hut – Summit (Uhuru Peak) – Mweka Camp. Day 8: Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate, descent complete. Day 9: Buffer day / contingency.
